Is it bunk?

From what I understand, MPD is being incorporated under Schizophrenia, it's just a peculiarly disassociative form of the disorder. Am I wrong?

It is generally caused due to extreme abuse during youth , the second third and so on personalities are created as a coping method

1: Got some souces for these understandings? For the record, MPD is no longer used in the DSM-IV. Its now called dissociative identity disorder(DID)

it is bunk. Look into it. here is a start:

It is not a form of schizophrenia AFAIK, and it is definitely not a helpful label. Everyone has different personalities, but dissociating from them and giving them names and such is pathological.
