| PTSD1956 | Jan 7, 12:23am | Thanks for the suggestion kc,
I had that EMDR, I had an abreaction to it and it increased the flashbacks and brought back more memory, bad stuff.
I was told officially that EMDR is not recommended for multi-trauma in the UK. |

| PTSD1956 | Jan 7, 1:26am | Respect kingcaid...its not often that I meet anyone who actually knows what PTSD is about.
I got rid of the music that was triggering my flashbacks (60,s mostly),cant always stop the pc/tv/newspaper/life popping something up though..
did the drink, some hindsight, flashbacks + alcohol ***shudders*** |

Sponsor | AngelaHayden | Jan 10, 4:15pm | I suffer from "Complex" PTSD. I tried to heal without medication and became very suicidal. Buspar during the day and Clonopin at night to sleep, along with talk therapy has been extremely helpful.
Buspar doesn't make you sleepy and Clonopin doesn't make you feel stoned.
Take care of yourself and remember you are not alone. |

Sponsor | AngelaHayden | Jan 10, 6:50pm | | I was in counceling for 8 years. It takes a damned long time to heal. But, eventually, without realizing it, your able to make it on your own without counseling. I went off and on. It doesn't have to be all the time. And, medication has saved my life. Everyone's different, though. Best of luck to everyone. |
